woke up at 7am and had breakfast at 8am. looks like my breakfast are getting more and more pathetic. i only had kway teow and egg that day. and i think i never even eat that egg at all. hahah.

my pathetic breakfast
after breakfast, we quickly went back to our room to do our last minute packing of luggage. yes, we were leaving Zhuhai and would be heading over to Macau for 2 days.
and it was clearly stated that we have to make our own arrangement to Macau. meaning, there will be no one to send us from hotel to the Zhuhai border, no one to guide us how to cross border from Zhuhai to Macau, no one to send us from Macau Checkpoint to our Macau Hotel. we were truly on our own now.
actually the tour guide did mention that he can arrange a transport to send all 9 of us to the border, but it was charged pretty high like RMB100 per person. but we decided not to go with it because Santhe, the indian girl in our group, told us that taxi is pretty cheap in Zhuhai.
we can easily hail a cab and it was charged only like RMB10 - 15 only. imagine my parent and me in one cab and we were only charged RMB15. that means RMB5 per person, as compared to RMB100. hahaha. luckily we were not dumb enough to get con =D
yeah so after packing, all of us gathered down at the lobby to browse through the map of Macau, basically, we were discussing how are we going to get to our hotel from Macau checkpoint. one everything was finalised, we decided to proceed to a nearby restaurant for Dim Sum!!!

discussion in progress

Santhe is so good in planning xD
oh well, after all the planning, and we were very sure what and how to get to Macau one our own, we had our last fulfilling brunch over at Shun An Restaurant, right opposite our hotel, for dim sum. seriously, no one was full after that pathetic breakfast, so we decided to pamper ourselves with good food.
foods weren't that great, but it was above average. the big kor kor actually treated us for this meal, so nice of him. especially to someone whom he only knew 2 days ago. everything cost RMB489!

Shun An Restaurant. haha.. my friend's name xD

the people

our dim sum!!!
next, we made our way back to the hotel. had a final discussion and then set the meeting time to meet later. while the adults are busy talking, Santhe and me actually started spamming pictures at the lobby area. hahaha.

my new friend, Santhe.

the hotel lobby

this trip made me changed 3 different currency.
comparing $20 in Renminbi (RMB), Macanese Pataca (MOP) and Hong Kong Dollar (HKD)
we meet up at 12pm, and then split 3 cabs over to the Zhuhai border which was located at the same underground shopping mall we came the previous days. we waited for everyone and then cross the border together. over there, time to fill up the immigration cards, and i have to fill up 3 cards again. my parent so relax, sit down there and wait only lol.
the queueing part was long, there's so many people and the officers are practically taking their own sweet time. i don't understand how they check, why must they flip flip flip front and back our passport. there's nothing inside for them to see, just flipped to the empty page, bloody chop the stamp and let us go immediately.
yeah, once everything was done. woohoo, we were at Macau finally. pulled our luggage to the taxi stand outside and hired 3 cabs to drive us to our hotel, Grandview Hotel. i can foresee it to be a really grand hotel, just looked at the name of the hotel will know. GRANDVIEW wor!!!

at Macau yo!!!

getting the best and cheapest cab rate.
big kor kor bargaining with the driver lol

Grandview Hotel reached at 1pm!

the lobby.
as we were still early, and the room was not ready yet. we were told that the room will only be ready at around 2pm. we left our luggage at the concierge first before heading outside for a walk. my parent and me decided to go to the nearby supermart to shop for some junk foods xD haha, while the rest decided to explore around the place.

woohoo. tempted to try out Macau Milk Tea

and next, back to our hotel, collect our room key and go up to our room. dumped our luggage inside and rest. we gave ourselves 1.5 hours of rest before meeting the rest to explore Macau.
well, not to waste my 1.5 hours. i chiong my drama again xD accompanied by the potato chips i bought just now.

all mine!!!!!
we gathered at the hotel lobby at around 3.30pm, and then made our way out to the bus stop. looking through maps, we took bus 33 to AV. Infante D. Henrique for some shopping. wahh, their street name is totally weird!

the bus stop

the public bus
hahah, a 20 minutes bus ride, we reached our destination. we decided to go on separate way to do our individual shopping. so we bid them goodbye and loitered the place by ourselves.
i have no idea where to go, so we were down there walking randomly. see got any shops just dropped by to take a look. lol. but their building structure is very beautiful. my main focus is to find their very famous almond cookie pastries shop, Koi Kei Bakery.

some random places we went

and after a few turns around the place, i finally found the famous pastries shop. hahaha. quickly grabbed a few boxes of Almond Cookies back to Singapore. yes, i'm helping my colleagues buy also. we really shop alot of local products from this shop before leaving. anyway, their products weren't that cheap actually. pretty expensive huh!

they sold alot of local products
we walked until 6pm before randomly found a cafe for dinner. it was located at the 2nd level of a the building. seriously, when we walked up, we were the only customers there. hahah. it felt so weird. like the area was so big, but there was nobody. okay well, we were really very hungry and tired, so we can't be bothered about the emptiness of the place.
we went to order Fried Rice, Wanton Noodle and Chicken Chop Bun plus a can of coke. well, everything cost around MOP100 plus. seriously, the place was kind of expensive when the foods they served weren't that great. so-so only.

Macau Recipes Cafe

like no customers one lol

our dinner!!
well, after eating, we left at around 6.30pm. we hunt out way back to the bus stop on our own. haha. to think back of it, we were actually quite good huh. we managed to find the bus stop ourselves, we managed to board back bus 33 and we managed to know where to alight. for a first timer here, just arrived like a few hours ago only, we managed to find our way back to the hotel hahahaha.

bus 33 ya

the long stretch of road.
well, back to hotel and rest. i totally didn't do any research on where to go, so we actually spent or wasted 2 hours plus in the room. my father sleeping all the way, while my mother and me watching drama on the way.
and then at around 9pm, the door bell rang. and it was Santhe and Vel, they really surprised me with a box of Portuguese Tarts. i remember i told her before i love Portuguese Tarts this morning and was craving for it.. and she really popped by with a box for me.. awwww, so nice of her xD

Portuguese Tarts
anyway, we felt rather wasted to just stay in the hotel throughout and Macau is somewhere very popular with casino, and so my mother and me decided to go tour around the casinos.
we heard that there's actually shuttlebus provided which will bring us go different Casinos. that's so cool! we quickly got changed and then took the shuttlebus outside our hotel, it brought us to a terminal where there's alot of shuttlebuses there.
the first Casino we chose to go Venetian. we searched high and low for the Venetian queue, and waited quite long for the bus...

time to leave this messy room

woohoo. Galaxy Macau

the entrance.
haha. this place is nice too, but i don't really concentrate on the place because i managed to locate wi-fi here. hahaha. seriously, i'm out of the Internet world for 3 days, finally i managed to connect in. of course, my eyes only glued to my phone. who still cares about the surrounding. lol
but i still dug out times for some photos xD

my parent

the lighting

wah i love the lights

niceee

yeahh with my mama

this is made by ice
and that's all for Galaxy Macau, no more wi-fi already. last Casino, we decided to go Grand Lisboa. it was too far, and we were all very tired. we took a cab instead. hahaha. love the design alot, it looked like Esplanade + Ion. haha

Grand Lisboa.
oh well, no photos were taken inside because the Casino totally don't allow camera. awww, so sad. i can only spammed pictures outside loh. we actually spent hours jumped around Casinos and it was around 12am then we took a cab back to hotel haha.

free water bottles from 3 different Casinos

woohoo. late night supper at 12.30am!
