Thailand - Krabi Trip Day 2

we woke up at 8am (thai time), and went down for our breakfast. and they had huge variety of food for us to choose. that's something great about 4-stars hotel. we paid extra to enjoy!! look at the wide spread of food. *drools*

and normally for the first day of enjoying the hotel food, we tend to take alot. you know, that kind of "i take what i see". haha. and we'll end up a full table of food xD

and they even have someone stationed at the egg station there to cook egg for us. i ordered 4 eggs from her, and my mistake that i didn't tell her what kind of egg i want. so she made 4 sunny side up eggs for us! luckily the rest were okay with sunny side up =D. only me who were unhappy with the uncook watery egg yoke. i hate this kind of egg yoke!!! i prefer 100% cooked one!!!!

we finished eating at about 9.30 (thai time), and went back to our room to have some rest and take turn to bath. Fazillah and me brought our laptop down to the lobby to access into the internet, while Fazillah uploaded the photos into facebook, i was randomly surfing the net =D

it really took quite alot of time to upload those photos, 200 plus photos i guess!~ and Ginnette have to come all the way down to look for us because there wasn't anyone inside the room to pick up her call =X

and so, we quickly settled everything and back to our room to get change. we gathered inside Ginnette's room and planned for where to go next!! since it's free & easy for us, we have the whole entire day to ourselves!!! yay!

and so, not to waste anymore time, we quickly discussed and planned on where to go. since the first day we came, we kept hearing people talking about Krabi Town, and so we have finally decided to go Krabi Town.

we were walking out near to the main road already and Ginnette suddenly realised she forgot to bring her money out. so Xue Ni accompanied her back to the room and take, while Fazillah and me, the lazy ones, waited at the main road for her

and soon, they're back. and we walked out to choose our mode of transport over to Krabi Town. we were thinking of taking their taxi down, but the price they quoted was too high. after bargaining and they didn't want to lower the price, then too bad for them. they lost a sale!!!!

we walked away... and decided to take a tuk-tuk there. and what funny was, they don't have a fix bus stop or what. we asked the lady at the street hawker where to wait for the tuk-tuk to Krabi Town. they just asked us to stand there and wait.. like huh?!

and true enough, a lorry kind of tuk-tuk arrived shortly. with the driver shouting "KRABI TOWN! KRABI TOWN!" and he honked non-stop! lol. so we boarded the tuk-tuk, and there were already 2 caucasians on board!

pretty nice ride, with the wind kept blowing and messing our hair. and also, we got to enjoy the scenery outside. Fazillah felt so melayu because she saw quite a few mosque around that estate. haha.

and finally, we reached Krabi Town after a 30 minutes ride. alighted the tuk-tuk and paid 50 baht ($2.20) each to the driver. and we walked around there under the super hot and scorching sun. we couldn't take the hotness and so Ginnette and me took out our pink umbrellas and hid under for shades.

we walked around randomly and realised that Krabi Town was not a fun place at all =/ it's really kind of boring as you can see, there's nothing except for some small shops selling those things that doesn't interest me!

okay, we walked past this very grand kind of place. i have no idea where is it and what house was it? so i shall call it the White House xD

set the camera on timer mode. quickly take and go as it's really very hot standing under the big sun!! there's something special about their traffic light... a man statue was standing on top holding the traffic light. so cool!~

we crossed over to the other side of the road since there's like nothing to walk about. walked around and we came across a stall selling earrings. haha. finally something to buy!! stopped down there for quite some time, hard a hard time choosing because there's like ALOT!!!

after that, we continued walking... and we were all "wowing" when we saw a department store.. like finally, an air-conditioned place. without second thought, we went in immediately.

aimed the Swensens first since we were eyeing on something cooling. and the ice-cream sold there were really very cheap. quite affordable too.

they served us plain water immediately. it's like they knew that we needed water... COLD WATER desperately!!!

after choosing for quite long, we decided to buy the World of Sundae. Fazillah bought American Banana, white the rest of us bought English Cookies.. all at only 55 baht ($2.40) each. it's really very cheap right?

left the place and just right outside Swensens, we saw Dunkin' Donuts selling at 6 for 99 baht ($4.30). we decided to buy and share among each other. but then 6 donuts were hard to split with 4 people, so Ginnette, Xue Ni and me decided to take 1 each, and we forced Fazillah to take 3. LOL!~ (btw you will know the fate of the donuts later on *shhh*)

after that, we walked around the department store but there's nothing much to shop there. and so, we left the place and we decided to take a tuk-tuk over to Big C Supercenter. not expected it to be as great as MBK, but at least we can get away from here. haha.

took a tuk-tuk and we managed to bargain till 250 baht ($10.80) to go over there. it's a 30 minutes ride there. yay, time to enjoy the surroundings xD

and finally, we reached Big C Supercenter after half an hour. anyway, the tuk-tuk driver wanted to give us 2 hours until we finished shopping and then drive us back to our resort. but we declined his offer telling him that we might take more than 2 hours.

we walked finished the entire place pretty fast. it's more like a hypermart, no wonder the uncle said 2 hours should be enough. haha.

the things sold there was not that cheap also. and then, we suddenly have the urge to eat on something small. and so we decided to eat at KFC because they have small special food like Salmon Stick and Shrimp Donut selling @ 29 baht ($1.30). it's something that Singapore do not have xD.

and so, we went in and gave it a try.

and looked at the sign infront of the counter!~

the sign was all written in Thai.. Fazillah and me were guessing what was the sign for?

lol. pretty lame to crack our brain guessing it. anyway, back to ordering our food. the 3 of them ordered Salmon Stick while i'm the only one who ordered Shrimp Donut. haha. the service there was quite good, we sat down there waiting for our food, and the stuff actually served us plain water.

and soon, our food was served, together with plate, knife and fork!! and Fazillah got the chance to make full of her mcCafe skills. displaying her talent in designing the food!!!

applaud to Fazillah because this is the only time that she can displayed her art work out. her Art & Craft in school totally cannot make it *shake head* she cannot draw on paper, but she can design on desserts.

the foods were really great. but that small little thing wasn't enough for us, and suddenly we were craving for chickens!! haha. and so we decided to go for 4 pcs chicken meal.

i went over to the counter to place our order, and there was some communication breakdown all of a sudden. i got a feeling that the lady does not understand what am i talking?! =S

but luckily i still managed to get my meal in the end xD

we spent most of our time sitting inside the KFC eating, talking, playing and so on. and i'm the one who was super pro in burping. haha. i can like burped alot of times in an hour and Fazillah was so jealous of it that she drank the whole glass of Coke down trying to force the burping out.

and yeah, she managed to burp one BIG one out. haha. i know we sounds disgusting. but we were really close with each other that we doesn't mind all this anymore!! haha. burp and fart all u want!!!

anyway, it was so happening in the KFC that we accidentally dropped the whole box of donut upside down. and so all the cream or whatsoever all sticked to the top of the cover. haha. Fazillah's donut was stucked on top, that part really made all of us laughed out real loud. (the fate of the donut part I)

next, we just walked randomly around the place. went for toilet break first before leaving the building.

all yay! we were ready to go!!~

we went outside to look for a tuk-tuk to send us back to our resort. and we were so surprised that the uncle who drove us here earlier on was stilll there waititng for us. so nice of him xD haha. we bargained the price until 425 baht ($18.40).

while on the tuk-tuk, we remake the NDP song of "Shine on Me", to some halal melayu song to Fazillah. Star and Cresent Shine on YOU, making YOU feel more melayu, all the halal food that we found in Krabi.....

and we finally reached our dear resort!!!

and then, we went back to our room to have some rest before we head out for some night shopping at the night street there.

after taking all the nonsense photos inside the room, we left to meet Ginnette and Xue Ni and we walked out to the night walking street for some shopping.

anyway, the people there were pretty fun to play with. i found that they liked to sort of distub the tourists there. i remembered there's a little boy who knew that we were from Singapore, so whatever he said, he will end the line with lah, leh, loh.

and he was challenging with Fazillah. haha.

boy: whatever lah.

fazi: bye lah

boy: go lah.

pretty fun to see them bickering around. and also those man there sitting by the side. whenever they saw Malay or Chinese, they will purposely speak in either Malay or Mandarin. Hello! Ni hao, WO AI NI!! and the same goes to Malay as well.

Thai people are so fun!! haha. anyway, we were looking high and low for a cloth like thingy. i don't know what was it called. it's normally used on beach one. ya, so we called it the wrap-wrap! haha. and at last we found it at one shop, bargained with the shop lady until we got it for 240 baht ($10.40) each.

and next, we bought a Krabi tee for 160 baht ($6.90). haha. and lastly we decided to look for some place to settle our dinner. and lastly, we decided on Burger King!!!

while walking back, there's another cute and fun scene. i laughed real hard for this. Ginnette and Xue Ni were walking quite far infront, while Fazillah and me were taking our own sweet time walking slowly behind.

ya, i speed up all of a sudden trying to catch up with Ginnette they all, and Fazillah was OEI-ing at me behind so loud that one man sitting at the side also imitate and OEI at her.

just that he added one more line...

man: OEI, You are so HOT!!!

fazi: (talking to herself) no lah. you're blind. i'm married, i'm pregnant. dunno how to see properly ah?

ya. i really laughed real hard for this.. and obviously Fazillah was not married or pregnant. just that she love to pretend to walk like a pregnenat lady =X i also don't know why?!

okay, enough of laughing. dinner time @ Burger King!!!

Fazillah and me ordered BK Chick'n Crisp value meal @ 170 baht ($7.40), while Ginnette and Xue Ni bought Hash Browns & Onion Rings!!

we have to eat quickly as the 3 of them have massage appointment inside the room later on. nah, not for me this time round, i had enough last night and i cannot assure that i won't kick the person this time round. lol.

and so, after eating, we walked super fast back to our room. while they were having full body massage, i was watching drama on my laptop xD. hahaha.

and after that, everyone gathered inside our room.. yes, day 2 photos circulating again to individual thumbdrive, SD card, harddisk, laptop... and then laughed at those photos!

and also, trying and testing out our newly bought wrap-wrap!!

went down to the lobby for wireless, so that we can surf net using our laptop. but we were seriously attacked by mosquitoes. so Ginnette and Xue Ni went to the toilet to rubbed their palm with alot of soap, and then came out to kill mosquitoes. indeed, this is a very effective way to kill mosquitoes, because they died straight when got in contact with the soap.

haha. Ginnette and me decided to play with my webcam and we took millions of nonsense pictures. Ginnette also created a .gif file for it. here you go!~

so fun. i joined them in killing also. LOL. after than went back to our room.

and lastly, switching of partners..Xue Ni brought some of her stuffs over and Fazillah shifted some of her things over to the next room. my new sleeping partner, Xue Ni, will be sleeping with me tonight. hahaha. u are going to endure my burping & farting nonsense!~
