Malaysia - Cameron Highlands Trip Day 1
a very short trip to Cameron Highlands with just Ginnette and Lisa only. well, it's a Thursday night bus journey up to Cameron Highlands, so Ginnette and me took half day to go home early to prepare for the night. so freaking excited. i'm so looking forward for the..... long 10 hours bus ride. hahahah.
meet up with them at 8.30pm at Vivo City. went to Giant to buy some chips for munching on the bus and then took bus 100 to Golden Mile Complex. reached at around 9.30pm, quickly went in to the agency to register and collect the receipt and voucher, and then we have to wait for our bus outside.
its our travelling day
all our barang barang
no place to sit, in the end sitting on the steps
bus bus, where are you?!
woohoo, the chips we bought earlier on at Vivo.
Ah Chang came as well, to send us off. hah to make it sound nice was to send us off, but the true motive was to sent Lisa off lah. hahaha. well, shortly after, our bus arrived finally. wow, quite a big bus with super comfortable seats and there's tv too. but damn, the 3 of us were actually allocated single seats at the right side. like we were actually seated in one straight rows. how to talk and share foods like that?
our coach
Tuas Checkpoint, here we go!
the bus set off at 10.30pm and reached Tuas Checkpoint at 11.05pm. we went through the checkpoint like a breeze, woooh!~ then back to the bus and towards the Malaysia Checkpoint. yeah, and it's time to off dataplan. now, no one can contact us, we were all alone :)
past over the connector bridge and went through the Malaysia Checkpoint, and i see, they are now using a super cool foreigner biometric fingerprint system.
checkpoint!
we waited for everyone to board the bus, and there's actually a lot of empty seats around, so Ginnette changed her seat to the double seating one beside me, Lisa shifted up one row, and i stay put on my single seat. at least the 3 of us were in triangular position to each other. one beside, and one behind me. so much easier to talk and share food like this. and yea, the bus departed at 11.45pm.
Ginnette and Lisa were watching show on their individual seat, while i much prefer to listen my own mp3 and have a good sleep. the bus finally pull it off at our first pitstop at Yong Peng at around 1am. official toilet break for us, the driver urged all of us to go for the toilet as after this stop, the next pitstop will be like 3 hours later.
all of us alighted, and went to the toilet. after that, Ginnette and me went over to buy sandwiches for our late night supper. hah!~ decided to head back to the bus, but the door was locked, and the driver was not there. arghh, waited for awhile for the driver to be back. and yea, set off at 1.30am.
Chicken Mayo Sandwich
continued to sleep with my mp3 all the way. and the bus is getting colder and colder. totally like a freezer bus, even after closing the air-con above me, with my jacket covered all the way to my neck, i'm still freezing down there. woke up a few times during the night due to coldness. brr..
and i'm sleeping like a boss. with their kind of comfy and spacious seat, i actually lift my legs up till the window glass. hahaha. so unlady-like, but who cares. my legs got pretty numb leaving it down loh, needs some blood circulation hor!
well, the 3rd pitsop was around 4.30am. i woke up for that, probably due to the coldness, the kind of sleeping position i'm in, backache already :( and yea, most importantly, i'm not a very deep sleeper. hohoho. that's the last pitstop i supposed, because the next time i woke up, were already there.
yes, we officially reached at 7.30am. a 10 hours bus journey was shortened to 9 hours only. our bus driver must be a real F1 Racer lol. well, i was half awake, but refused to wake up. i overheard a man, Chai from the agency, came up the bus and told us about the Cameron Highlands which is largely based on agriculture, he gave us brochure on the different tours they are providing - Jungle Trekking, Moonlight Rendezvous, Rafflesia, etc. haha Ginnette and Lisa was the one listening to his explanation, when they asked me for my opinion on which tours to go, i was like still in my zzz mode, signal them an "anything" handsign and i went back to sleep lol.
and then, another guide from teh agency, Kumar, came to explain to us about the different tours. in the end, we decided on the Agro Delight Tour. it was RM65 for the tour with steamboat dinner inclusive, but he only charged us RM55 because we already have steamboat back at the hotel, so he deducted the steamboat from the tour.
and also, we were given until 8.10am to walk around the place. get down the bus for some toilet break, and then off we go explore around the place. it was really cold out there, pretty much like Taiwan's temperature, but very smelly due to the fumes from the vehicles' exhaust. and the funny things are, i don't know why, but we started to fart non-stop here. LOL.
the cold place
welcome to the land of strawberries!~
Agro Delight Tour - the tour we decided on
we changed from big bus to small coach, and we are off to our hotel.
wheee!~ Heritage Hotel reached. seriously, what a beautiful hotel. like some sorts of resort place. first of all, chiong to the toilet, and then started switching on our wi-fi to scan any wi-fi detected. ah hah, they have wi-fi *wink*. we shifted ourselves from the sitting area, to the hotel lobby area as the wi-fi over there is the strongest. we charged our devices using the lobby plugs, upload pictures to my laptop, and spammed some photos before exploring the place outside.
Heritage Hotel

initially, at the sitting area
and then, we shifted to the big lobby area
spamming of pictures
well, enough. that's alot already :)
our tour actually only start at 2.30pm, and since we have like 3 hours to spend. we made full use of the time, went out to explore the place. we left our baggage at the hotel and out we explore at 11.15am. we made our way to the streets area, which was actually quite a distance from our hotel.
the cold and empty road
pretty flowers grew under the cold temperature here
our 'AH GONG' street!
out we go!!!
we made our way to the Starbucks we saw earlier during the bus ride. ordered Frappuccino Chocolate Chip, and a tuna sandwich for myself
Starbucks!~
Ginnette and me ya!
and next, we jumped over to Marry Brown Fast Food Restaurant which was just 2 units away. hahaha. our life here is all about eating. we ordered 2 pieces Crispy Chicken and Chili Cheese Fries to share.
MarryBrown Fried Chicken and Fries!!
so excited with the suspended seats xD
it was drizzling when we started, but luckily the rain stopped when we were done with our foods. we made our way back to the hotel, with hopes that our room will be ready, but sadly no. the hotel staff informed that still need to wait a little while.
so disappointed. it was only 1.20pm and we have like more than 1 hour before our tour. and our room was not ready, no where else to go. we sat at the lobby and wait, and then Ginnette and me fell asleep shortly after at the lobby. we woke up at 2.30pm when we have to go for our tour, double check with the hotel staff, and our room was still not ready!!! zzz, 3 lines down already! but thankfully, our room was finally ready after a few minutes later. we told Kumar to wait for a wee bit more so we could dump pur bags in the room first before heading out for the tour.
our room key
we boarded the mini coach and set off at 2.45pm, and ya it started raining again. our coach went to pick up somemore people from different hotel and places. once everyone was up, we set off to our first destination - Organic Farming.
on the coach setting off for our tour..

see see. as huge as a watermelon. hahahah
Ginnette and me bought a cactus home xD
#4 Strawberry Farm
now, time to pluck our own strawberries. we go ahead with the half kilograms of strawberries plucking, which was only RM20. they have all kinds of strawberry. big ones small ones, red ones green ones, ripe one, non-ripe ones. haha. we were all targeting the super red one.
Strawberry plucking loh

well, they have a mini cafeteria next to it. we actually was tempted to try the Fried Ice Cream, so we went to order that plus a plate of fries. it's like only RM3.90 each. so cheap!!
so niceeee!!
#6 Flower Nursery
last stop for the day. we went to visit the Flower Nursery. it was located at the very isolated far end, and the road was so narrow. narrow till only one vehicle can entered at a time.
and the place was freaking muddy
Kumar explaining again
flowers
sea of Chrysanthemun
cheers.
well, we followed and sent the rest of the tour group to their steamboat dinner place. we did not alight as i mentioned earlier, we already have our own steamboat dinner at the hotel specially for us. that was like so much better as compared because we get to eat in an air-con place. hahaha. and they have to squeeze and cramp together in that small eating area.
anyway, finally we have the whole mini bus to ourselves. the driver drove real fast down the winding road.
we got the whole bus.
back at the hotel at around 6.45pm. we went to the reception and colleced our keys and vouchers, and then back to our room to take pictures and rest. a triple wow to our room, hahaha. we have a balcony too. and we spammed lots of photos. lol

we went over for our dinner at around 7.45pm. wow, so exciting. first time having steamboat with just 3 people. and the the foods given were quite alot. time to enjoy the food lohhhh..
this was so fun, eating all we want there. we even set up a bowl and chopstick, and imagine Shalee was there with us. but it ended up with Lisa scooping all the oil to her bowl. and we actually dumped those overcooked food to her plate too. lol.

we finished eating at about 9pm. and then we wandered around the hotel and explored. our package actually came with a hi-tea set, so we went over to ordered our Scones and Tea to be delivered to our room at 9.45pm. continued exploring the place before going back to our room.
